Hey. Another option depending on what kind of tax break you might need next year is to donate it to "Goodwill" or "Salvation Army". Since you can write off the FULL retail book value of the vehicle, it may result in a greater total $ savings than $1,200 cash

I've got an 86CJ7 that I have a $10,000 policy on. It's from Farm Buerau. All I had to do was have the vehicle appraised and take some photos for their file. It cost me about 400-450 per year.

thanks for all the help. I'll see what I can come up with with a shop since I don't have access to a welder. I'm going to try to incorporate the spreader bars that are factory since they bolt to the main hoop and maybe cut the ends off and weld new metal from there to the floor...
