    shopping list

www.jeepsareus.com does not support CJs; I just talked to them on the phone... try www.jeepsrus.com instead; they do sell CJ stuff.

    Will they fit?

They are grey Sport five-spoke wheels. I wish there was a way to make them fit, given the price I can get them for all five, especially since one of my wheels is bent.

    Question for CJ-5 Owners

Does anyone have a picture of a 1978 Monroney window sticker for a Jeep? I have one picture of one, but the quality sucks. The only other pic I have is for a 1978 AMC, but it is different than the Jeep sticker. Thanks for the replies.

    Will they fit?

My buddy gave me one of the wheels to take home this morning, to see if it might have a snowball's chance in you-know-where of fitting. I'm at work right now, but I'll take a pic this evening and post it.

    Will they fit?

It is the CJ in my sig. The front Dana 30 is from a 72-75, since they are drums...my understanding is that they switched to discs in '76. If I get the centers of the TJ wheels machined, would they fit then, or am I asking for a headache? If the bottom line is no, how much are 5 TJ wheels worth?

Possible 1978 Gmc Cheyenne 10 Donor (VIN: tkt248f723093)

If the truck you're looking at has 8 bolts, then it's going to be a 3/4 ton, not 1/2 ton. It would lead me to believe that someone swapped those in there, so you'll have to do some investigating, to find out where they came from. GM 4x4 1/2 ton models had 6 bolts. I've owned a few 70's GM...

    Will they fit?

I've got a buddy with a 2001 TJ. He just got new wheels and tires and he's selling me all 5 stock wheels for $50. Will they fit my Jeep? Thanks in advance for the answers.

Where's the switch? Dana 20 question

I have no 4wd indicator light on Frankenstein either, so I would guess that only the Quadra-Trac models had them.

    Earl Scheib

I would rather grab a couple dozen cans of Dupli-Color and do it myself than let Earl Scheib paint my Jeep. When I was in high school 20-some-years ago, my friend's Aunt Gert had her '78 Delta-88 repainted by Earl Scheib. Her car was originally Dark Metallic Blue; when we took her to pick the...

    Ideas for illuminated engine compartment

My '78 CJ-5 has the underhood lamp. I'm thinking that it might have been part of the Golden Eagle package, because the wiring to it is stock.

Best Carb to buy for the 258

I'm still new to the Jeep scene, so please forgive the ignorance. I am going to need a new carb too and have the non-stepper motor, non-electric choke BBD. What's so bad about going with a rebuilt BBD? I've read about the problems they have, but isn't that the result of people who don't maintain...

A Very Proud Day For Me!!!

I'm sure there are people who would say, "Why me"? I look at Mikey and say, "Thank you, God"! He is the most awesome kid in the world. He has taught me to be a better person. He can tell you anything you ever wanted to know about the Presidents, the Titanic, the Civil War and now he's learning...

A Very Proud Day For Me!!!

My 10-year old son, Michael, has Asperger's Syndrome, which is a mild form of Autism. He has always kind of kept to himself and not shown much interest in the things I like. He's an extremely bright kid, and he gets A's and B's in school. Today my heart almost skipped a beat, when I saw...

    Late Build CJ-5?

Thanks for the replies! bobcat, I did drive it around for a while, after I changed the fluid out...maybe it will just take a bit more time, but I somehow doubt it. I'm on the hunt for clutch linkage now, as mine gave out yesterday evening. Mooseknuckles, the plan is to eventually put it back...
