thank you for the reply if i go woth a 4.0 will it be better to buy a whole jeep or just the motor an trans ? i think the 4.0 pc control if i remember right? been out of repair work a while now. my son loves the jeep 14yr old likes hitting the mud. so i will fix the jeep for sure ,to pass...

my oil pump went out on my 86 cherokee when my son was drive it to help recover a deer lost the motor trans is fine however it is a 2.8 should i rebuild this weak motor or swap . which motor would be the easy swap ?has anyone done this before ? an a all information would be a great help please...
