OK, I opened the access plate in the tail gate and NO linkage! By feeling around I was able to locate the wiring running from the gate handle to the rear glass solenoid and it must have been loose because something clicked and now it works fine. So it looks like at least some '05 Liberties...

I have an 05 Liberty and all of a sudden, the only way to release the rear hatch glass is with the button on the key. Any ideas on why the mechanical lock/release isn't working and what the fix might be?

Got a lot better after I refilled the PS resivoir! Must have a pinhole leak in one of the lines as that's where I see a small amount of residue.

05 KJ, went out this AM, about 5 degrees out, and found my power steering had gone from nimble to stiff as a board. It feels worse than standard steering. Anybody had a similar issue? Had no warning anything was wrong, no strange sounds or anything else.:???:
