I have been told that possibly i can use the mechanical speedometer gear housing with associated cable and gear as used in pre 1991 Wranglers and Cherokees on my 97 TJ Wrangler to work with the mechanical gauges i am putting in as the computer is blown in the vehicle. Anyone know if this will work?

I have the VSS from the transfer case but i am fitting a mechanical speedo. How do i get it to work. The 3.0 motor is a V6 Ford motor i had lying around.

I have a 97 TJ Wrangler that i have been rebuilding. The motor was toast so i have put 3.0L motor i had in it. The computer was blown so i have no working gauges. I am putting in some mechanical gauges. My question is...what drive is needed for the speedo from the gear box for the speedo cable...
