1986 CJ7 wondering

Hello
So I have an 86 CJ7, it’s lifted with more bent leaf springs and sitting on 31 inch tires I believe. Anyway when you try to drive if you get to any sort of road worthy speeds it wonders all over the road. I am getting a new tie rod for the driver side and a few bushings on the suspension need replaced but is that all that could be wrong, it seems like it would have to be more to make it wonder like it does.

After you get that stuff done, get it aligned and see if it helps

Do a dry steer test. Look at the frame to see if it is cracked or if the body moves and the tires do not. If the frame is cracked get it welded and add a steering brace. These older Cj s suffer from tring to turn big wide tires.
Also, check camber. With enough lift you might rotate the pumpkin up in the back for drive shaft alignment. In doing this you lowered the caster. That will make you wander.
Post pics of the bent springs.
Post pic head on under the front end capturing all suspension components.

If you have more bent leaf springs...... You'd better replace them. :p

On 'Black Betty', she came with a 2" lift (Superlift) and 32" tires. After going with BFG KM2's I took her to a local shop for alignment and they thoroughly screwed up. The steering would pull lock to lock. Taking it to my preferred shop they not only fixed the misrepair, they found a leaking Saginaw box in the process of rebuilding that I found these online;

They had no hard feelings about bringing in outside parts and when it was all said and done, 'Black Betty' tracks like a sedan on the road.
