Tell me about it...i put top and doors on two weeks ago...been getting in the low 40s and high 30s here at night...Im not quite ready for it yet.

I started to look into new bumpers the other day and then went to see how mine was attached...no bolts and to my surprise it was welded to the frame!...so out of my frustration i did this to it...my not be as nice as a new one but it will do for now.

It still sounds like low fuel pressure unless you have checked it and its good... which would make it run rich and backfire...I know what its like to go through this so I hope you find the problem soon...sucks when it doesn't run right.

Good news...got my jeep back and its amazing how much better it runs...new fuel pump and 4 new injectors. Its throttle response is what it should be, shifts when it should and starts up right away. Thanx for everyones help in getting this fixed.

Ok...just went through the exact same thing...i am picking my jeep up Wednesday from a great mechanic. Same symptoms as yours to the tee... This is what was explained to me...my fuel pump was only putting out 23psi and it should be in the 40s or more. Because of that the fuel injectors where...

I agree with everything you all are saying....but we all own jeeps and we know what we would do those situations cause we have been in situations similar to them....having lived in a big city i know there are people that have never been in dirt....that's who this show is aimed for im sure....i...

Final post on a lengthy problem...its not the fuel investors...but the fuel pump...in back posts some of you said fuel pump so pat yourself on the back.lol...the pump was only putting out about 23psi. The pump that was in there was only about 3-4 years old...the mechanic said he has seen alot of...

I use to manage the parts department at a Honda dealership and main reasons of car fires were do to people installing aftermarket parts wrong...especially electrical ones...the jeep has to be one of the most altered vehicles out there so i wouldn't be surprised if it occurrs more with jeeps.
