Yes, you can. You'll need the correct VSS to attach to the transfer case output and the correct length speedo gear.

The Speedo is electronic on the '97 so you'll need the VSS from the original transfer case. Tell us more about this 3.0L you used.

The stock Carter carbs are junk, consider replacing with a Motorcraft 2100 or 2150.

The 4wd light is activated by an electronic switch in the transfer case. My guess is you're not fully engaging 2wd and need to adjust the transfer case linkage. Loosen the adjustment rod on the transfer case linkage. Disconnect the linkage where the flat bar attaches to the transfer case...

Last I read they redesigned the transfer case to hold up to the Hellcat motor. Will be a bummer if they have to detune it, only for end-users to turn it back up lol.
