What did your mechanic have in mind for a fix?-Is the flare on the fuel line damaged?-are you positive after replacing the pump and the line that that IS where its coming from. Sounds to me like you have twisted the fuel line possibly damaged the flare on it.

ditto,you find it on nearly all machined metal parts for rust prevention. It will come off with almost any grease remover or paint thinner,laquer thinner etc.

I have a 95 yj 2.5 running your same size tires with a 4 inch shackle lift over 4 years now. It rides a little rougher than stock but I have not had any problems with driveshaft vibration etc..even at 65mph
