I've heard that in actual driving there is not much difference (if any) in gas mileage between the 5.7L Hemi and the 4.7L V8, probably due to the variable cylinder activation on the Hemi. So, if looking at the possibility of ever towing anything, I'd go with the Hemi!

Ironic considering an article in this morning's paper said overall automibile sales were flat for the month of July! I guess the only thing selling were Jeeps! Good to see Jeep is a significant contributor to the improvement of our economy!

All this talk of putting the doors on, I'd like to take mine off... Is there a trick to getting the nuts off without scratching the paint off the nuts? Or am I worried about something that can't be avoided?

Sorry to hear it's running poorly. I saw your other post after replying here, maybe it has the wrong cam being as everything else is stock. Can he possibly get another carb from a salvage yard and swap them to see if it makes a difference?
