Not even a little clicking sound? First thing take your starter out and get it tested. Its free. Sometimes it gets gummed up and you may need a new one.

Yeah the dremel and flat head idea..... Although sound did not work when i tried it, all it did was frustrate me more. Go with the heat and an easy out.

That is acually common. My brother also has a 2007 with a leak i those exact spots. The seals for that model suck. So u r not alone in this. You can try to replace the seals, i know that the dealers (at least up here) will not replace them even though it is a freaking annoying factory defect.
