So i just finished changing the starter in my 97 tj, and to confirm.... the bolts are a 3/8" x 4" with a inverted tourqus head. I used some advice from here and just used a bolt extractor to get them out then replaced them with a grade 8 regular bolt seemed to do the trick well. now i can get it...

Is there a way to either disconnect the airbags in my 97 tj or take them out all together, when my jeep is done i plan on doing some agressive driving and dont really want the airbags to go off on me is this possible to do??
from all the reaserch i have done i would go with a 3.9 cummins over a 3.3 if you plan on doing a 4bt swap the 3.3 was desinged as a power plant for industrial use as was the 3.9 but the 3.9 was also used in automotive uses like in delivery trucks and what not usually put with a GM 3spd auto...
oh the rims and tires i plan on using are 15x10.5 rims with 33x12.50 tires i may have to go bigger with tires just to keep the rpm down on highway but i want to keep it as small and cheep as possible

in my 97 tj if u have the light knob out only one click the hi beams will still flash on if u pull the leaver back
if oyu have the knob right out the low beams will be on untill you push the signal light lever forward as the previous reply said
