    Dash Bulb covers?

1056802 Hey JP I'd start by checking the temperature sending unit sounds like it may be faulty it'll save you a lot of aggrivation screwing with the wiring.[addsig]

    5sp, peugeot transmission

1056804 Don't worry about the slight grind in second. do like these guys say with the synth oil. It's just the start of the synchros going. If it goes after a while throw in the ax15. By then you'll probably want to put in a 350 or somethin anyway!! :-D [addsig]

    wiper motor

1056805 It is a big pain to trouble shoot wiring. I'd suggest taking the motor back and finding one the same as yours or have yours rebuilt.[addsig]

    Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders

1061623 My clutch in my 87 yj went for a crap, much the same as yours did. It turned out to be the plunger in the master cylinder. It was relatively inexpensive to replace and it was fairly easy to do. I would start by checking that. The slave cylinder, however, is a lot of work.[addsig]

    fuel injection help

1062274 If it's your daily driver, I would strongly advise against doing this conversion. The wiring is a nightmare unless you buy a new wiring harness as well. I did this conversion from an 89 cherokee 4.0L into my '87 YJ 2.5L It took me almost three months to do the swap. It was very time...

Recomendations on getting paint for my jeep....

1045862 hey, tug has the right idea. There is no dought that the paint has faded over the years, so matching will be kinda hard. Depending on where it is that you are doing the repair you may be able to get away with spot painting the repair and feathering out the basecoat the clear the whole...

    ignition timing 1988 4.0

1045915 This may sound stupid but you may want to check your egr valve. I had a staling problem with my 87 yj and that is what it was. It is pretty easy to check and they aren't that much at a wrecker.[addsig]

    clutch replacement....

1045916 it would be a good idea to go to a wrecker and cut off a transmission spline of the same transmission if you can find one that will help you line up the clutch plate. Otherwise it can be a nightmare. I think there is also a tool you can buy but usually the spline is cheaper.[addsig]

    Painted Diamond steel

1045917 I would listen to mudder, he sounds like he knows what he is doing. That aluminum they are made of is really hard to get paint to stick as well as the paint will crater.[addsig]

    Jeep just got ripped off.

1048566 i know how you feel dude, my 87 yj was ripped of last january. They found it the next day and they had only smashed my steering column and stole my stereo. It worked out better in the end cause insurance gave me a nice settlement. Since then I converted my 2.5 throttle body to the...

    91 yj doors??

1048568 had the same problem before too . Everyone is right with the lube, but try a product called "Move it" it works a little better than wd40 When you do get them off sand them with some sand paper and put some "Never sieze" in them. I haven't had a problem since.[addsig]

jeep 258 to ford 302 swap

1048569 I suggest calling advance adapters and talking to them. When I was considering a conversion to a v8 I emailed them from way up here in Canada and they called me within 5 min. I talked to them for about 1 1/2 hr. they were a great help. As well I'd recommend getting the advance book...

    Transmission questions?

1049056 Even with everyone's advice, I'd have to say that a new clutch probably would not solve your problem. If it is only that I'd drive till it needs to be fixed.[addsig]
