    Oil me up

I did a lot of reading about oil filters tonight, my mind is spinning, you read a good thing about one, then you read something trashing it. Wix filters seem to have a real following, but also people who say its crap. The one that everyone seems to agree is at least ok is Purolater. Fram is...

    Oil me up

I found that with my old Dodges as well, Fram made 2 filters, a long one and a short one. i agree with you, long is better. I have wonded if there is a long one for my Jeep, there's definately enough room to put one on, Any idea which long fram would fit a 2005 tj 4.0? My parts place just...

    ac/heat blower problem

that seems to be a common problem with jeeps. Theres a vacuum line coming out of the fire wall on the passenger side, goes to the drivers side, about 1/2 way up the motor ( toward the front of the jeep on the drivers side) the vacuum line fits on a nipple coming out of the engine. The boot on my...

    Are steel wheels evil?

Isnt really a decision to make at the moment, but when the times comes I will probably get steel, that's why I was wondering if there was a reason not to. Just doing some learning about tires and rims. interestingly my current Wrangler 30-9.5-15 tires are actually only about 7 1/2 inches wide...

    Are steel wheels evil?

I was reading " biggest mistakes I made" on another board and several people mentioned that buying steel wheels was a mistake, without saying why it was a mistake. What's so bad about steel wheels? ( I'm asking here rather than the other site because I don't belong to that one)

    Oil Pressure Woe's.......

I think the first thing I'd do is replace the sending unit, thats a cheap, easy way to start your problem solving. When the pressure goes to zero does the engine get really noisy? if not I would think it is a sending unit problem rather than actual low pressure... just my best guess...

    picking a soft top

Ah that good to know, thanks. Yes, need the hardware as well, starting from scratch, just have the hard top it came with. The ad in Quadratech said it came with hardware I think.

    picking a soft top

I need a soft top for my 2005 Unlimited, checked in Quadratec and see that the Bestop is about $800 and the Mopar one is $1400 is there a quality difference that justifies the price difference or is this just typical dealer rip off pricing? Any recommendations or info regarding soft tops would...
