Used rattle can to do it. I was going to use a spray gun, but couldn't find the color (in flat) for it, so just decided to go with the Krylon paints. I highly recommend getting an eraser wheel like whiterubicon suggest. I went the other route, and it was a pain.

Yes.... a long process of a heat gun, scraping, and then cleaning to get the rest of the adhesive off. The hood took a while since the decals had been baked on by 22 years of the sun. The side went a little easier though.

It's the Khaki color from the Krylon camo paints... Also, herculined the tub when I painted... So far, I like it, but I'll have to see how it holds up over time.

Finally finished painting the Jeep and got it all back together. Actually finished 2 weeks ago, but finally getting around to posting pictures... All of the chrome is to go. Will be replaced with black (Wheels, rockers, bumpers). BEFORE: AFTER:

A guy I know bought a good ole chevy luv several months back to get him around town. One ugly truck, but I guess it gets good gas mileage. No pics, but it's a nice rust brown color!

Both of you make good points, but since I am just running the 258, I don't guess there would be a real "need" to go with a centerforce. I was just wondering about how much of an advantage it would offer. Thanks!

When I replace my clutch, should I get a centerforce clutch or not? I know these are a good clutch, but is it worth the money, or should I just go get a replacement from the parts store? So... what's your opinion???

I agree.... that'd be a nice tie in. Or you could do red stripes on the hood and have white stars on the blue.... that'd be patriotic. Congrats on your buy!!!

Hey Mingez, I believe redrooster has flatfenders and runs TJ flares (of course, his is a cj though).... I could be wrong, but I think I've seen a pic on here of it.

Makes you wonder what level of training these people have. I've had bad service from the shops at dealerships (as I'm sure anyone who has ever used them have).... not just Jeep dealerships, but others as well. Definitely makes you question carrying your vehicle in for work. Glad to hear that...

Thanks... i'll give it a shot. I already removed the wiper motor and the control arm attached to it. The other control arm and removing the actual wiper arms is the part I wasn't sure about. Wasn't sure if the arms just pulled off of the post or what.

How do you get the entire wiper assembly off of a CJ? I've got the wiper motor off, but haven't figured out getting the actual wiper arms and the piece that connects the two (inside of the windshield frame). Anybody got the answer?
