with a SOA you can run at least 35's and with 1.5" you could run 37's or 38's.

Don't cut the axle down, you want the width you get. I would run a 14 bolt and a dana 60 front. With leafs you can put full size axles on really easly. You will blow up your dana 35 really fast.
