the shorter one is approximately 95 inches while the longer one is around 117 inches both are a little longer than the current wrangler and the unlimited which come in at 93 and 103 inches respectively

I had the same problem on my old 89 XJ. It used to idle real rough or die if you gave it too much gas. Ran really rich and dumped out black smoke too. Replaced the crankshaft prosition sensor on it and then it ran normally again
