What do you think is the best 4inch suspension lift for a 1997 TJ 6 cyl. Im looking for cheap but good quality. Im not going to be doing any hardcore rock crawling, just a daily mud ride.
Welcome to Jeepz! If you use the search tool, you'll find an abundance of threads on here covering that topic
To narrow the choices down a bit, what size tires do you plan to put under it? Cheap and good are often difficult to combine, but there are a few reasonably priced kits out there that work well.
I run the rough country 4" lift on my 97 TJ.
Its a rough ride but it works well otherwise.
33's work best for this lift(even though i'm running 35's......ssshhhh)
Ya get what ya pay for with lift kits so take yer pick and good luck.8)
Buy some 4" coils for the front, and move the front springs to the rear. Redrill the lower mount for the front trackbar about 3/4" to the driver's side to recenter the front axle. Install a transfer case drop (1") and move the front brake hardlines lower on the outside of the framerail. Longer shocks. Done.
