I have a 93 yj with a 4.0 and auto transmission, and I'm considering putting a 5 speed in it. Will the transfer case from my automatic bolt up to the manual? I can get both from the same guy, but I don't want to waste the money if I don't have to.

Your transfer case likely has the long 23spline input, same as needed for the '95+ AX15 5spd transmission. '94 and earlier AX15's use the short 23spline input, which would require you to change the transfer case input shaft or run the transfer case that comes with the transmission.

These year ranges aren't steadfast, Jeep used a hodgepodge of parts over the years so there's no way to be 100% sure without separating the transfer case from the transmission and verifying input gears.

I likely have the correct input gear you need if you decide to keep your transfer case and change only your input gear.
