Can i officially call myself a jeeper yet?

The story goes, i skipped school with a couple of friends and we decided to hit the trail(in my jeep)... All going fine and dandy sliding around in mudholes, climbing over rocks, just showing off what my jeep can do that their little riceburners can't... I tell them i can't go close to this pond cause i know i'll get stuck but they convince me since there was like 15ft of mud around it i could stay fairly in the clear... driving around minding my own business when the mudshoulder gets thinner and my left front hit a squishy spot and sunk jerking the wheel and landing my stupid feeling butt right into the pond(guess i have to change my signature)... of course it's a two mile walk back to my house(not to mention freezing) so we can go get their car to go pick up their dad's truck... to sum it all up i had one hell of a time :D ... sure beats sitting in a classroom!

Nice. Those can be deceiving, get a little too close and there's no turning away.

Looking at this pic, yeah, I'd say you're officially a Jeeper! Nice stuck, dude!!

Looks like a lotta fun! I had a similar incident with a friend several years ago. He had just bought a Ford F-150 4x4 with 6" of lift and 36" bald A/T's. We were at the lake and he decided to drive across a low spot (that used to be a lagoon but the lake was low) filled with mud. He did ok till he hit the 4' sand dune on the other side and spun the tires. Once he had it buried, he said, "Ok, guess we should get out and lock in the hubs now". I could have killed him!!! What an idiot, driving into that muck in 2wd!! Needless to say, we spent the night there until he walked the 5 miles to the nearest house to call a tow truck. Cost him $150 for a tug out. He's still an idiot, now living in the Hotel Lansing courtesy Uncle Sam's Drug War.

Love it or hate it. When you start playing in clay, theres always a story to tell...

Ya know...

With the swaybar disconnected and no rear trackbar you'd likely have been backin out of that mess.

I bet u sh#t your pants when that wheel went of. I know iwould have

Yeah i pretty much knew i was screwed... i hate not having any 4x4 buddies to come with me and come pull me out(sure would have been better than the 2 mile walk back to my house to then drive to another house to go get a truck with enough power to pull me out)... seems like everybody is into little fast cars now... maybe if i'd have had m/t instead of a/t i could have pulled myself out(but i very highly doubt it)

And for the hubcaps and tires i had to pull my tires off to get in and spray down the frame and where the clay had gotten inside of my brakes(set all kinds of sensors off)...

Congrats, thats a pretty good stick. You found the really good anoxic black mud, the type that will steal your shoe and make your sock stink even after its been washed.

I rescued a guy last year who had done the same thing but with his whole front end. He was stuck out in the middle of nowhere from saturday afternoon until I found him on monday afternoon. Luckily he had planned on camping so he had food and enough beer to last two weekends.

He was running 35's, but sometimes even 35's arent enough. He got it started and blew about two gallons of water out of his exhaust, he thought that he could make it the 40 miles back to town. I doubt that he made it.

Anybody wanta test out their jeep i know a really good pond they can go through:twisted: ... about 2ft deep at it's deepest point but it's fed by an underground spring so the mud has been kept nice and soft for ya... bring a snorkel and probably some swim trunks... o and lots of beer(you're gonne need it:twisted: )
