Cluster stopped working on 98 Sahara

I was driving when I noticed that my cluster gages all got stuck to 0. I stopped and restarted... Nothing then I tapped the cluster after 2 minutes and everything came back to normal. Checked my fuse and all was good.

Hi,

Sounds like you've got a loose connection to the instrument cluster. It is likely the CCD Bus connector (twisted pair wire), or maybe a bad solder joint at the instrument cluster.

The only way to be sure is to pull the dash and take a look at the wiring.

You can either continue to whack the top of the dash, or redo the BUS connector where the guage cluster plugs into the wiring harness. Some jeepers bend each contact in the connector so it makes more solid contact, add dialectic grease, then use zip ties to secure the connector together.
