I slid pretty hard yesterday down a steep hill backwards then came to a rather quick stop! I think I may have bent or broke something inside the back of my seat. 87 YJ stock seats has anyone ever taken the covers of and worked on the frame inside the seat! Kinda afraid I may never get it back together! Thanks in advance for any help!

Did the seat in my wifes XJ and Grand Wagoneer a few times over the years, don´t think the YJ is much different. Didn´t present to many problems for me (I´m usually better at taking things apart, than putting them together), but did require a third hand to put it back together. The first time I tried to cut a few corners, by not removing the whole works and singed a few things with the torch[addsig]

Pretty common when the seat backs break and they lean back to one side. You can take the cover off and weld the break, but they will take some reinforcement or they'll just break again. I've seen everything from rope to welded crossbars behind the seats to hold the backs upright
