front driveshaft to short

Hello i have roughly about 7 inches in susspension lift drive shaft is to short. Is there any stock shafts i could swap into it? as a direct bolt in.

can you be more specific ? how short ? what about cutting and welding your stock shaft ????

if you still have the dana 300 T case a front yoke off of 231 will fit front or rear T case output on dana 300 allowing the use of a double cardan driveshaft. If your jeep has a manual trans maybe a driveshaft from a cj with auto trans would work.with seven inches of lift though i would be converting to a double cardan style shaft.the yoke on the diff may or may not have to be changed.the only accurate way to fit a driveshaft is to measure at full susp droop and full compression this will give a min and max length.it might be more cost effective just buying a custom driveshaft, find a old shaft, modify it,put new ujoints in etc prob brings you close to buying brand new and i havent mentioned all the time spent on sourcing these parts JEEP CV DRIVESHAFT DANA 300-20 COVERSION CJ DRIVE SHAFT on eBay.ca (item 250724610969 end time 09-Dec-10 21:40:40 EST)

(this applies to front shafts on manual hub front axles or trail trucks) most of the front shafts I lengthen are just made from square reciever stock or I will cut off the yokes and slip shaft and weld them to a piece of sch 40 poop pipe.

If I need to shorten a shaft, I usually find a stock front XJ shaft and just cut and re-weld.
