My new Unlimited

I am a Jeep owner once again.
I had a 94 YJ for a few years, I sold it about 5 years ago and missed it badly as soon as the guy drove off in MY jeep.

My wife and I have a 4month old little guy, so the Unlimited was a good choice for the extra room in the back.

I drove to a dealer 3 hours away who had the jeep I wanted at the price i wanted. Traded in my Maxima and so far I love it.

on the interstate and highway coming home I got 22.25mpg, going between 62 and 70mph. For that I was pleasantly surprised. In my old Jeep the best I ever saw was maybe 19mpg.

The ride is completely different of course with the newer suspension. The ride isn't much worse than our 2000 4runner. Of course it is louder at highway speed.

So there's my Jeep. 2005 Unlimited, 54K, hardtop, cruise, 6speed, I-6, CDchanger.

I plan to spend a lot more time on here now :)
Weekend project: built a DIY Hardtop hoist hehe

Congratulations!! Great looking Jeep. Of course that gas mileage will go out the window in a hurry once you add a lift, aftermarket bumpers and bigger tires - 33's?? 35's???

Nice find. You will notice a big difference in both ride and general comfort from your old YJ. In all my years I don't ever remember anyone who was glad to have sold their jeep, but all of them have been glad they got the next one.

I like.. I assume thats an old pic because it is nearing 90 degrees here in the north east.

HAha yea the pic is from the dealer website. It has obviously been on the lot for a while, thats how I got it for about 4K under blue book.

as far as the tires and lift...no immediate plans. I probably won't go higher than 31 or 32'' tires and a 2'' shock lift

I do want to get a nice big front bumper. And I've got a big plastic bull head in my garage, maybe I'll zip tie that to the front lol

I teased my daughter that I was gonna strap bull horns on the front of hers (shes always calling me a redneck) havent seen it much since!! Lol
Congrats on the new ride, and welcome back to the Jeep world!!
