Stock Carpet

I was wondering, My Tj came with stock carpet. When i removed the carpet the dealer had a sticker that said I might be burned due to high temp's if i took the carpet out. is this true? I wanted to make sure I didn't end up with 3rd degree burns from the carpet. thanks

dont worry about it, with the lack of heater youll be happy

just kidding, no youll be fine, the tjs exhaust routes under the oil pan and under the passenger side of the vehicle, just dont have any passengers ride barefoot on multi hour drives and youll be ok. it gets warm, my yj hasnt had carpet in it for years and ive never been burned, just didnt rest my foot where heat transmits.
