Anyone have any experiance or knowledge about rebuilding an NP231 T-case. I can drop it and pull it apart, but putin it back together, now thats a different story. If anyone knows what the best rebuild kit i can get for it is, i would sure like to know. And in anyones best estimation, how much do you think the whole rebuild is going to cost me total. Any helpfull words would be great! thanks

RE: ATTN: BH and Sully..

It's just as easy to put back together as it is to take it apart, almost. Just make VERY sure that the oil pump pickup tube stays seated in the oil pump when putting the back case back on. It's tricky but can be done with patience.

RE: Jeep Challenge

Taking pictures helps too.

I've been doing stuff like that thinking to my self I can easily remember how it all goes together...then something important comes up and when you eventually get back to work...you're not so sure of where all those parts go anymore.

RE: "FOUR WHEELER OF THE YEAR"

Be sure you have a good pair of split-ring pliers. Snap ring pliers are different, these are more of a c-clip remover, they have knurled paddle ends that spread the split-rings.
