AMERICA’S GREAT OUTDOORS – HOW 4x4s CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
President Obama signed a Presidential Memorandum that established the Great Outdoor Initiative to promote partnerships between Americans and federal agencies responsible for conserving “outdoor spacesâ€. One such agency is the Department of the Interior, under which the Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service operate.
The federal government is hoping to work with local people to protect outdoor areas to preserve things such as “hiking and sledding, and fishing and campingâ€, said CEQ Chair Nancy Sutley. Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar said, “We as Americans have taken extraordinary steps to protect our land, water, wildlife, and history for future generations, but today the places we love face new challenges that require new ideas and new strategies to solveâ€.
UFWDA is asking you to be a part of the Great Outdoors Initiative so the voice of the 4x4 community is heard resoundingly to ensure that our history is preserved for our children so they can enjoy the same wheeling places we’ve enjoyed through the years. You can help by joining the conversation. Join us at UFWDA - AMERICA’S GREAT OUTDOORS INITIATIVE for ideas on how you can help spread the voice of the 4x4 community.
Vote to “promote†UFWDA idea – Responsible Recreation Use Equates to Access - so your collective national voice can be heard by Washington.
