Thinking about a 2008 Jeep Wrangler X - Good Deal?

I recently paid $12,500 US for a 2004 with 44K miles, had I run across your deal, I'd have gladly paid the extra $2K for a 4 year newer Jeep with 1/4 of the miles! Retail on the one I purchased here in GA is $16K per KBB, 2008's with 30K miles are selling for over $20K. I'd say it's an awesome...

Jeep announces new Wrangler Unlimited Pickup... in kit form

They need to offer it as another model, at the same price as a comparable Jeep! The only way I'd do this conversion was if they reimbursed me for all the parts they took off (top, rear seat, rear doors, roll bar, etc) which would probably equal the cost of the parts they added to make it a...

Best place to buy a used jeep???

I found mine on Autotrader. It seemed most of what appeared to be great deals on Craig's List were all scams. Someone deployong to Afganistan and has to see, but the vehicle is on the west coast even though it's being advertised on the east coast! But hey, they're willing to ship it to you after...

    Looking for good seat covers.

That's good to know! Not that I really care if they fade (or get dirty) because I got them to prevent that from happening to the OEM seat covers, so better they fade and get soiled than the fabric they are protecting. :D

    Fuel

Wow, talk about your good flashbacks! What a great 4th of July gift! Somehow I doubt the Manager whould have been so generous had it been us filling our Motorhome at that price, but it sure would have been a break to get 70 gallons of gas for only 34 cents a gallon!

    Looking for good seat covers.

I've only had them on for a couple weeks, but already was caught in a down pour with the top down, and had to pull the carpet to access the plugs to drain the standing water, but the seats look fine! As mentioned above, they are washable.

    Looking for good seat covers.

I put a set of Smittybuilt neoprene set covers on my 2004 TJ, and they fit good. They were $169.00 through 4Wheel Parts with free shipping. They had a special where if you bought the front seat covers you got the back seat cover for free. I got the dark charcoal with the gray middle. they...

    New to jeep!

Nice Jeep, I really wanted a new one, but it didn't fit in the budget! We found a nice used 2004 X with only 44K miles on it. So far it's been a blast!

    No power to Power Outlet

My new to me 2004 Wrangler has no power to the Power Outlet located beow the HVAC Controls. I looked in the manual to see if it might be a fuse blown, but there is no fuse marked Power Outlet. The Manual also mentions the Power Outlet is connected directly to the Vehicle Battery. Is the fuse...

Need Help With Jeep Warranty Question

Just go back and tell them you changed your mind and want the $2100 refunded, they will probably offer you a lower price just so they don't lose the warranty sale all together. Also, check with your insurance company, I use USAA and they offer a warranty service. It would have cost me $1200...

    New Jeep owner in GA

Thanks Tony! I replaced the resistor this weekend and it's working like a champ! I replaced the switch first only to find out that wasn't the problem (wish you had posted a couple days sooner), but after tearing the dash apart to replace the switch, I just left it and went and bought the resistor.

    2004 unlimited automatic transmission issue

Not sure this will help, but we ran into an issue this weekend with a friend's 2004 Wrangler. It would not shift out of Park. We popped the cover and discovered the push button on the T handle was not depressing the rod far enouch to allow the the pin to go far enough to get out of park. When...

    New Jeep owner in GA

Thanks for the welcome, the advice and the invite! Looking forward to learning more from this site. Will be crawling under the Jeep today to check out front end components to see if anything is loose. Will also grease anything with a zerk fitting. Hopefully that will help, if not I'll be off...

    New Jeep owner in GA

Hi, my name is Paul, we just purchased our first Jeep. It's a 2004 TJ with only 44K miles, we got it to pull behind our RV. So far, have only found three small problems that hopefully will be easy to fix, the fan control switch only works on the two highest settings, so is probably the switch...
