As i was driving home yesterday coming from Houston, my fuel light turned on in my truck. I asked my wife to pull up her fuel price app. on her i phone to check on who's got the lowest price along the way. $3.49 was the cheapest and closest we could get to at Diamond shamrock station in Boerne TX. As i placed the fuel nozzle in the filler neck i was looking at the fuel price on the pump and it just doesn't seem right. I went ahead and started pumping anyway but as the fuel went in my tank the price doesn't seem to add up to it's advertised price per gallon. Again, i kept on going until it was full thingking there was something wrong with the digital screen on the fuel pump station. I went ahead and got a print out of my receipt and that confirms the error. The advertised price was $3.49/gal but whoever programmed the pumps programmed it to 0.349/gal. Guess what, i got 17 gallons of fuel for 34 cents a gal with a whopping total of a little over $6.00 to fill my tank. My wife informed the manager and i saw all the blood rush out off his face as he looked at the screen. He was peeed off and said thank you for letting them know and told us we could go and enjoy the cheap fuel. Happy 4th of July!!!
