    clutch replacement

1062611 I could be wrong but it sounds like maybe the master went...usually when the disk is going you notice it. When the disk is going it will get to the point where it grabs at the very end of the pedal travel (when releasing the clutch) instead of midway like its supposed to. Eventually...

    Yet another project finished... InstaTrunk

1062831 My instatrunk is similar to that but it has a back part so even if the back seat is folded the trunk is still sealed...keeping your stuff totally secure. I have my bazooka tube and amp in there. Out of sight and out of mind...except when I turn on the amp hehe.[addsig]

    So to make matters worse...

1062833 What? Yours doesn't? My YJ has tilt and reclining seats...I thought it was standard. I know some dont have the fold and tumble rear though (mine has that too). Oh yeah....don't you already have a girlfriend Nate? Hahaha[addsig]

    So to make matters worse...

1063017 Yeah I have the cloth seats as well...gotta love em. Boy them vinyl seats get HOT as hell in the summer. My buddy is so envious of my cloth seats (his are the vinyl).[addsig]

    Emergency Brake Recall

1063019 Damn thats old news man...got my E-brake replaced by the dealer for free back in like November or December. Mine really sucked...it would just pop out on its own and the jeep would roll. I just got used to putting it into gear. The dealer put in a whole new unit all nice and shiny...

    What's the biggest size tires?

1063020 33's might fit but it will be a street jeep. You generally need a minimum of 4" for 33's and probably an inch or 2 more if you offroad much on a YJ anyway. TJ's can fit a bit bigger tire with less lift because of their flares. I would suggest 31's or maybe 32's but I think 33's might...

    new motor!

1063546 147000 miles? Damn thats nothing. I just recently picked up a 1976 Monte carlo for $300. The engine(350) has 261,000 miles....and it still runs, no funny noises. Does smoke some though (cough)...but hey so do I hehe.[addsig]

    motor swap

1063676 Well unforunantly you are stuck with either the 2.8 V6 (piece of shiza) or the 2.5 I4 (not a bad engine but a little weak for a cherokee). Unless you swap out the transmission and transfer case as well thats what you are looking at. If you are going to swap those out you might as well...

constructive criticism wanted: my new website...

1063680 FrontPage is STILL wysiwyg (What You See Is What You Get for all the ppl that dont know). Come on man wysiwygs are LAME! I started out making pages in NOTEPAD and I still do. Granted frontpage has some cool stuff...but full html and some java knowledge will go a LONG way. PHP is...

    CJ door handles

1058708 Don't quote me on this but I think that the door handles changed from the levers to the paddles in 1983. All CJs from 83 on should have the paddle style handles stock.[addsig]

Been doin some thinkin...coils vs. leafs...

1058716 Where you at? Shipping alone would probably cost more than getting one from a boneyard.[addsig]

    Losing Clutch Fluid

1058717 Sounds like the curse of the internal slave. Check under the transmission where the engine and bellhousing meet and look for fluid coming from there. ad news is you will probably need a new slave clyinder. Worse news is you will have to pull the whole transmission to change it...

    converting a.c. pump

1058729 Yes it is true that the Yorks have a built in oil reservoir. Unless you have a York you WILL need an external oiler.[addsig]

Been doin some thinkin...coils vs. leafs...

1058730 Easier yes...cheaper no way. I could convert to coils for much much cheaper than the cost of a TJ. Plus that I like the looks and feel of my YJ...I just would like to add coils to that for more off road ability.[addsig]

    converting a.c. pump

1058757 Yeah I run regular 10w30 in my York and it keeps it well lubricated. The only real problem that I have encountered is with heat. At high rpm (2K) that sucker sure gets hot...I wonder if I could setup some kind of fan to keep it cool...[addsig]
