Yeah, take care of the exhaust. Also, make sure all of the exhaust manifold bolts are present and tightened down. My fiances had one missing forever and made the jeep loud and slow. Threw a new bolt in and it made a huge difference.

RE: broken tap Yes it can be done with relative ease. Will it make a large difference? Not unless you port match the intake manifold and are sucking air through a high flow filter. 10 extra horses?? No way
