I think that i have decided that i am going to go with a 4" suspenson lift.. will that work with a 1993 YJ... I found one on roughcountry.com for $450.. if i were to get that what else would i have to buy and/or change...??.. but is this a good idea over all???

I have the Skyjacker 4 inch lift on my 89 Jeep YJ. I have been very happy with it. I had to get longer brake lines and a "dropped" pitman arm. They were not included.

Check out the kits at Rustys Offroad for another affordable option. Most kits are pretty complete, but ensure they have a transfer case drop, longer swaybar links (disconnects if possibly), and longer brake lines. You can move the front brake hardlines further down the frame to use the stock rubber lines.

Same with me, but when they put the longer lines my pedal got softer so i installed steel bradded lines

I recommend the SYE and CV shaft in favor of the TC drop... But it is up to you and what your budget is (budget and Jeep in the same phrase??? Something does not sound right!!!).

I have never ridden a Jeep with Rough Country, so dont put too much weight on what I am going to say, but I have read in other forums that they are true to their name (especially the ROUGH part). I have Rubicon Express, and I am happy with it, but it is still a rougher ride than the stock ride (the more arch the springs have to achieve lift, the rougher the ride will be; this is unavoidable!).

Now, as to what else you HAVE to get (if not included in the kit):

Dropped Pitman Arm

Things I RECOMMEND to get:
New brake lines
SYE Kit
CV Shaft
New perches (to correct the axle angle for the CV shafts)
