87 wrangler


is your voltage regulator good? have your alternator tested and make sure your grounds are good and clean plus the nuts/bolts are all down tight.

anytime you turn on everything, the the volt meter should drop a little but if all are dropping you either have an alternator/voltage regulator going out or some questionable connections.


and i am not sure if the voltage regulator is part of hte alternator or an external one on these jeeps
 
check your headlight switch for a good connection especially. since your dash lights don't come on. is the roller that turns on the interior lights rolled all the way up? i think when the interior lights turn on then the dash lights switch off
 
I was messing with the roller and I think it and swithch are bad everything worked good before I rebuilt engine
 

Check your connections in the engine bay then.
