BBJ returns to the trails

Welp... he's back... and BBJ was reregistered for onroad use less than 24 hours ago...

We couldn't wait to do some jeep bonding, it's been a loooong time since we've had time for that... We decided to start the night with some mud slingin'... we went to the top of a hill, where the rain has been pounding the mud out of the ground for a few weeks now... it was a good start... but because BBJ is such a bada$$ jeep... we couldn't get her stuck even in 2wd... although, my jeep was caught here and there...

after that, we decided to get a little more technical... we hit the atv trails where they hold dice runs every sunday... OH YEAH.. that was the place to be... part way up, my vacuum system pooped on me, but was soon fixed after some cleaning...

Then came the fun part... BBJ led the way down a hill then soon found himself swallowed... an unexpected mud trap consumed his entire front end, over the entire 32" of tire, burying his frame and rear pumpkin in the dirt behind... "stick a fork in this one, it doesn't get more done than this", I hear from ahead... and that was my signal to go no further... Then our next surprise... My come-along was back at a friend's house, and there was NO chance of me getting even close enough to go down to pull him out...

well... after about 30 minutes of me turning around and getting swallowed by the previous pit... i finally got out of the woods, and down the road to meet another friend with my equipment... and we all know the speedy service of the almighty come-along, and its inch per minute crank speed... We had the big black pj crusher out of there in a matter of about an hour and a half... finally... at 5:19AM... I return home... good fun night it was...

We plan on going back one of these days with the luxury of sunlight... we WILL tackle this obstacle... the whole fleet is going next time...

Well glad to hear all is well and ya'll had a blast ....Did you take any pics' to go along with the great story ??? It made me wish that I was there with you having fun and getting stuck....Wahoooooooo sounds like a blast congrats....:P

yup... it was... then the kid didn't like the idea of home-made parts, and went and bought a truck from someone else... the previous owner, who many of you know, was a nice guy and bought it back
