Engine Conversion to Chevy 350 ca smog questions

I have an 84 cj 7. I just got rid of my amc 256 and put in a 350 from a 1992 gmc 1500 truck. I have a few smog issues.

1. The speedometer sensor will not work since original transmission did not have that set up in it. Has anyone else come by this issue and how did you fix it.

2. The referee station wants me to switch my manifolds because they are not the proper year of the engine. Reason being is that the GMC 1500 engines manifold would not fit. The motor mounts were in the way.

Any help would be appreciated for a CJ owner of 17 1/2 years.

They'll pass you with a 350 in a CJ but they're throwing a flag because the manifolds don't match the year? Doesn't make any sense to me, sounds like screwed up priorities.

Will 2 manifolds from the same side fit with the motor mounts? I've seen that solve problems with other swaps.

Your CJ speedo is mechanical, while the '92 GMC is electronic. Sounds like you'll need a different speedo, or contact AA.

I have the same puter, And I dont have a speedo. But if you want one ( like bounty said) A&A .
I dont see any problem with not using the electronic sensor. You have the tbi still ?

I think he means Advanced Adpters good people who can help you out. We had a manifold fit problem in ore 80 Vette because we went to HP heads. Stubby headers solved our problem.
