Fan Clutch???

i just had my TJ aligned at firestone and they told me that my fan clutch has to be replaced. obviously, i'm not going to have them do it, but i was just wondering if this is important and if it is, is it an easy/medium/difficult repair? thanks for your help

Easy repair, and important, unless your jeep isn't overheating.

do these look pretty accurate, even if mine is a 97? is there any specific fan clutch i should look out for? i found one here, how's it look?

sorry if i'm asking too many questions, i just want to make sure i get an expert opinion before i do anything

To replace your fan clutch is easy and will take you about 15 minutes.

I would double check it to make sure it is bad.If your where getting an alignment why where they looking at your fan.They tried to convince my mom that her brake problem was caused by bad fluid and it needed to be drained and replaced.After getting a second opinion the problem was a warped rotor.

The Fan Clutch Wrench size is 36mm just in case you decide to replace it.

Directions look right. Have you checked the prices at your local parts stores?
