Fix your YJ!!!!

funny how 5's dont dig the 7's, 7's dont dig the YJ's, YJ's dont dig the TJ's.... like having 4 generations of father/sons trying to convince the others that their music is the best! The conversion is a cool idea if you have some kind of identity crisis or jones for a CJ... I got my YJ, love it and it is what it is and I see them all as JEEPS!....

It's more to get a rise out of people than anything. I love Jeep, they have made mistakes along the way and they have put out some real turds, but they are all still Jeeps. I've had an SJ, CJ5, 4 or 5 CJ7s?, a YJ, a WJ, and I briefly owned an XJ in addition to a couple of project/junk Jeeps that never got finished. I've got a guy holding an M38-A1, and another guy holding an M715 until I get a place to put them....I like them all.

"Square will get you there" IS about as silly as "Chrome don't get you home", though. What if you have chrome headlight bezels on your YJ? Does one cancel out the other and render a YJ as helpless as the other models?

I am putting a wrangler nose on my scrambler and am going to call it a wrambler.

I think the round guys are just jealous of our square headlights. They all wish they could be different but they can't....just joking. I'm happy with my square headlights. I didn't buy a jeep because of the shape of the headlights, I don't even care if they're rectangle or oval. I bought it because of it's capablilities off road. If you think about it, a YJ with square headlights has more similiarities to CJ or any other old jeep than a TJ with round headlights does.

The funny thing here is.. is how long this topic has been alive.
Those that know me here know that I will always jump into the TJ/YJ/CJ fight and throw lots of fuel on the fire...as long as we live there are going to be CJ guys/gals, YJ and TJ owners only.
Its not the shape of the head light, or the body style...its whats beats under the fancy chrome, or mud splattered paint.

We all share that same emblem on the side..and we are all proud to wear it.
JEEP

Personally I cant see spending several hundred dollars to change a classic look of an YJ to look like a CJ.
