Here's something we've never done to my knowledge.
Do you have any pets? I have one, her name is "Crackers" and she's a Westie Terrier. Not the most masculine of dogs, but she's been up to the top of Two 14'ers (14000 ft peaks) in Colorado. She's been on countless trails, and is the best companion a person could want.
She was a stray near downtown Denver, I couldn't track down the owner, so I adopted her.
I get teased for having a small dog, but I don't care. She's tougher than most large dogs I know. And recently I found out she's got a natural instinct to retrieve Dove's when I went Dove hunting for the first time. It was the craziest thing I've seen, she's a natural. And it's not natural for Terriers to retrieve. Also, she barks at my fishing pole when it tugs. A fishing alarm so to speak.
