Lift assistance

I have a 2.5 rough country lift I want a bit more lift should I sell the 2.5 get stock suspension and soa it. Or sell the 2.5 and buy a 4" or 5" lift ? Which is better?

The SOA works better offroad but it's more difficult to set up correctly and generally costs more than a 4" SUA kit. Depends on your mechanical skill level and what you want to do with the Jeep.

Ok so the soa will cost more to do than an actual lift and which is better for off roading like mudding which is what I do more

SOA is good for axle articulation, keeping all the tires on the ground in rough terrain which keeps forward momentum. Don't need much of that for muddin', so I'd say the SUA may be the better choice.

I run a 4" SUA in my YJ, and we do mostly mud; never had an obstacle I could not conquer as a result of lack of articulation... (there have been many that have beaten me, but not for that particular reason!)

I think your best bet for mud is 4" lift and use the rest of the money you would have spent on a SOA for lockers... Now THOSE make a difference in mud! I have actually outwheeled rigs with more power (I have the 4 banger) and bigger tires as a result of better traction coming from the lockers.
