Liquid Check valve

My wifes Cj7 is missing the liquid check valve. Even thouugh i had a cherokee for a few years this is the first i have heard of on. I need it to pass the Smog. Are the Check valves still used in the wranglers or other models. i cant find any at the local parts stores and our local JY clear their eventory of vehicles every so often. They only have 95 and up now.

thats what i need. i was just hoping to see if another model had one that I could get locally and for less than 100 bucks. i have this one watched on my ebay.

yes, I have seen those on diff year cjs, but couldn't tell you what years they were, 77-83 for sure. Id check at your local auto store and see if they have one. 100.00 bucks is crazy for that thing. Good luck

I've used Rock Auto many times. Unfortunately it does not seem that this part is stocked anywhere. Using car-parts.com yields 2 for 100 bucks also. seems to be the going rate. I purchased the one on ebay. Seems I'm at the mercy of the california smog police and have to have one. Its obvious the PO's had a buddy in the business.

I checked around here. They all crush everything after a certain year. If nobody is buying parts they get smashed. Everyone is around 90 to 95 as the lowest year. Plenty of wranglers around. From what I can tell they are integrated into the gas tank sending unit. The online junk yard parts finders are listing them at 100 and higher. I ordered one off eBay and now my neighbor tells me he might know someone that has one. If he does I'll just list the one I bought and try to get my money for it back. It one of the many issues I have with this state. even if you improve the efficiency and emissions of a vehicle if its not stock its not allowed.
