If you look at the last 2 pics, there is some damage going on to the casing but not sure how bad..there was definitely ALOT of metal shavings! Sorry, jus got the jeep and have the bug myself lol..why did you sell yours?gennybro said:So now what, any damage? Gotta replace the transmission ? Tell me something cause Im ignorant about a lot of things concerning vechicles and trying to learn. What is all that sludge. What ever it is ,it dont look good. Want to sell it? The jeep. Is there a drain plug on the pan? The reason I ask about the drain plug is maybe on one dropped the pan to change the filter when changing the fluid. It looks more like metal shaving then slug. Also the fluid still looks red wich is a good thing.
gennybro said:Money problems was the main reason. I would have sold it in a matter of time because it was a 4 cyl,and I want a 6. Got a good deal on it and had fun with it on the trails, but it was a real dog on the highway with 33x12.5 tires. paid 500 for it,brought it back to life, and sold it for 3000. But didnt make any money on it cause I put a lot of new parts on it. Figure I had it a couple of years and had a lot of fun with it . so I didnt loose out to badly. But I do miss it. Keep us posted on whats going on with your rig . Thanks Bro
