New brake lines

Would y'all give me some insight on brake lines. I'm replacing everything so is it hard to bend you own or is it best to spend the money and get the pre-bent ones? I can run conduit but is it kinda the same as far as bending it?

I find it easy to bend and shape brake lines as long as you have the right tools. Just remember you need a flaring tool as well.

Get the little bender from the auto parts store and it's easy. Aren't brake lines double flare 37 degree?

The teflon coated lines are the easiest to work with. They bend easy and don't kink as easy as steel lines. Just be careful not to scratch the teflon off or they will rust as fast as steel lines. A cheap bender helps a lot. It makes the bends look nicer.

Those are the ones that are kind of green, right? They are nice

I've replaced more brake lines than I would like to admit, here in the rust belt, they just rot away. I like to get short lengths between 1-3 feet and unions and piece together the lines. The short length make it easier to bend the lines and install on the vehicle with the body still on the frame. you will not need to double flare the lines since they are already flared and if you should ever have another failure, you will only have to replace a small portion of the line and not the entire piece.

I've also bought spools or line and custom built 1 piece lines from the master to the wheel cylinder. this was on a body off frame resto on my hotrod, nuless I am removing the body, I would not recomend this route.

i did my cherokee prior to selling it with those and they were very nice to install
