Yes Rubicon Express is out of business.
It honestly depends, what are you looking for, some kits offer better ride, some offer better performance, some companies will stand behind their product while others tell you to pound sand when things break.
Next to Rubicon Express, I have always been impressed with BDS, (leaf spings) ride it a little stiff, great performance and durability offroad, and when I bent a spring, they sent me a new one no questions asked... Pro comp on the other hand did not.

Thanks for getting back on this, As of now I'm just looking for a little lift to clear the 33's I have. However I really don't do to much offroad. As of now I have a 1 inch body lift which allows me to drive the rig around town with very little rub. (only when going in and out of gas stations steep drive ways) I think I'm going to do the 2 inch skyjacker spacer lift for now. (opions) ride that out for maybe a year and then do a real lift.
Keep the rubber side down!

pretty much any specer lift will work, spend a little extra cash to get new shocks, I am going to assume your 01 TJ still has the original shocks, so while you got the tools out, might as well swap them. also look into bar-pin eliminators for the shocks, will make life easier down the road.
soak teh factory bolts with PB blaster every day for one week. make sure you soak both the top and bottom. when I remove them, I like to a long extension (like 16 inches) the long extension will absorb some of the rotational torque so you will be less likely to just snap the bolt. and iff you do, simly drill it out, over drill it one size then use a bolt and ny-loc nut to secure the bar pin eliminator.
also if you installing these, hope you have new shocks as well.. factory shocks can not be reused.

I did I got the skyjacker hydro shock.......On the bar eliminators Do I have to soak the bolts even though my jeep has never seen any mud action...... the guy I bought it from was older and never took it out and I still haven't if you see the buttom of my jeep it looks showroom.......

Skyjacker is one and so is rusty's offroad
Sorry for hte late response, I just saw this.
would you prefer spending a minute spraying the bolts or an hour drilling them out? Not sure where you live, but up here in the north east, everything rusts, even when a car is only a couple years old, and I have had these bolts snap on 4 year old stock TJ's, just s **** poor design
