What exaclty is the difference between a soft top for a CJ-7 and A YJ??? Can you put a top from a YJ onto a CJ-7 ? :-? [addsig]

I have a Bestop Sunrider and it'll fit a 1976-1995 CJ-YJ. It just attaches to the front a little differently.[addsig]

If you're talking about buying a complete aftermarket top, then yes, the tops are the same dimensions... the only issue you might run into is if you need soft doors as well. Earlier CJ7s had a different latch design, while the later ones have the same striker as a YJ.

Now if you're taling about taking a factory top from a YJ and putting it on a CJ, there might be a little more work invloved. I think it would be possible, as long as you have all the hardware to go along with the top.[addsig]
