Transmission Fluid Change

I've got a 00 XJ, 4.0 w/ auto transmission. I need to change the transmission fluid and when I was under there changing the oil today, I saw what looked like a drain plug in the transmission pan. My Haynes manual says to unbolt the pan and let it drain that way, making no reference to a drain plug. I did this once on my CJ and it was such a pain. I broke 2-3 bolts, etc. If this is a drain plug, I would much rather use this and sacrifice changing the filter for now. Does anybody know if this is a drain plug in the auto transmission pan?

Not another winch question ???

Does anybody know if the AW4 transmission has a drain plug on the pan? It sure looks like it...

I do know that a drain plug kit for auto trans is aval. aftermarket. It makes the job much easier but I am not sure your jeep came with one factory.
