Well, yesterday i drove for the 1st time since March 9th. It was crazy because i still can't feel my foot yet and my foot doesn't move all the way to eutral so i had to use my entire leg to stop. I had een released by my doctor to drive. I was like WTF? HE even told me he has patients that drive with less mobility than me. I told him yeah i know, i deal with them at accident scenes when they rear end someone because they couldn't stop. My wife told me about an old lady who goes to therapy where she works, who brags about using a cane to drive. Hopefully its for the brakes and gas only (lol) butseriously, i know doctors aren't big about stopping people from driving because they are afraid to p.o. their customers. I heaar that from a lot of familys who call and beg me to request driver re-eavls from MVA. I unfortunately had ot learn how to drive in 30 mins yesterday. My daughter had to go to the doctors for a breathing problem (post nasal drip apparently) and my wife could not get off work because she was the only one there besides on P.T. I was not a happy camper, but i sure was after i dropped her off at day care. In the end i paid the price though. I had to slam on the brakes once, thanks to some witch on her cell phone cutting me off wihile i was stopping behind someone at a red light. Idito switched lanes with a wapping 40 feet between me and the guy in front of me who was already stopped. Light turned green and she changed back to the other lane. Geeze wheres my ticket book when i need it? For 30 minutes worth of driving i paid the price. By the time i got home, my ankle had swollen up to double its size and my knee felt like i had taken a swift kick in the inner side. So i guess i'm still not going to be driving every day yet. Damn i i was happy. Its just a work in progress i guess. I figure if i drive every other day to start i may be ok in about 2 weeks. Everyone keep your fingers crossed. Thanks for all the prayers.
Oh yeah update on the witch that hit me..... because sh was convicted of hit-and-run on me she violated probation she was on for arson and MDOP. Apparently a few years back she got in an argument with her fiance, owner of the car that hit me, and set his clothing on fire in the kitchen of his house. And he's still with her?????????? But apparently the judge violated her probation following my case and gave her another year. Alright 18 months.... woo hoo. She'll be gone for x-mas. I feel a little more justice from this case now. I thought 6 months sucked for running someone over and fleeing like like a coward and lying about it.
