i have a 93 yj and where the windshield folds down is leaking. i think my seal is bad and was wondering where i can find a cheaper replacement other than the one from Jeep which is $155. i found this one at quadratec for $25, whats the difference? Not sure what the difference is, they will answer most questions for you. Be sure that you get a good reliable seal. Water will kill the ws frame.
We had to replace a ws frame on a CJ5 due to the same issue.

The difference is one is from the "stealership" (aptly named, trust me). I recently had a water pump replaced at a "5 star" dealership here in upstate NY.......driven by the timing belt so I didn't have the tools, time, or garage to do it myself.......and $600 later, I had a new water pump. Never again!!! Never, never, never, never go through the stealership!!!
Just buy the Quadratec one. I'd also go ahead and get some POR 15 from them as well, since there's a good chance you've got some rust in the windshield.
I let mine go for years on my CJ, and ended up replacing the entire windshield frame. Good thing is that the windshield frame is relatively cheap (compared to other replacement panels)
