Why Jeeps are better than hummers...

Exactly--you would know he will be needing a Jeep there to tow him out! In reality though, yes, the hummer driver's skill and vehicle mods are playing a big part in how badly they embarass themselves in these clips, but every now and then we need to overlook the details and playfully rip on our...

Why Jeeps are better than hummers...

It's still fun though, and these clips show how Jeeps are better than Humvees, too ;)

Why Jeeps are better than hummers...

I thought it was the tierod...I know they are notorious for breaking something by the front end at least. I once drove by a crashed H2 where the entire front wheel/hub/axle had broken off the truck; not very sturdy trucks at all.

Why Jeeps are better than hummers...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=lpxoomyFs_0&feature=PlayList&p=F3FC73B680B1FF3F&index=8 This is a collection of clips showing how much hummers suck. Notice about 30 seconds into the clip how a Jeep just drives right by the stuck hummer with no problems, and when the hummer finally moves out of the...

    Dr. Z Commercial

I like the cheesy pun "we have the cleanest 4x4's" when Dr. Z talks about emissions, and it shows the jeep lineup covered in mud.

    Crappie Fisherman?

I would go to a knowledgeable fishing store and ask; I bet even a big 5 or sports authority/mart would be helpful. They should be able to set you up with a good rod/reel and give you tips on how to start off. From there, just ask the fishermen at your local fishing spot what strategies and baits...

    Crappie Fisherman?

I do alot of trout and crappie fishing around here. I've never been that great at fishing, but I think it's mostly because I'm near the city and the few lakes around here get alot fishermen and are fished out pretty quickly. Don't you hate it when you allways seem to catch fish by yourself, but...

Project Jeep and boating trip on hold for a while...

I was mountain biking today and went through a section of trail that was a bit beyond my skill level...really rocky with lots of drops, and coming out of one turn the front wheel slid out and hit a pretty big rock head-on, sending me over the handle bars with my legs stuck in the frame and the...

    Roll Control?

You could make a hand throttle as a cheaper alternative for using the gas, break, and clutch at the same time...not as much fun though.

    Dana 44 in a Scout??

They are about 2 inches wider than a CJ widetrac; you would need to outboard the springs in the front and move the spring perches in on the rear.

    Dana 44 in a Scout??

Should have dana 44's front and rear if it's a 1972 or newer, and even if it's older than that, it should still have a 44 in the rear.

    Super Swamper TSL SSR

Portola Valley is pretty close to Santa Cruz, about 20 miles northeast of it. Hollister is the 'wheelin place around here.

    Super Swamper TSL SSR

The Jeep's going to see alot of street miles, so I figured the most aggressive tire I would get would be the SSR. So would you say it's worth the extra $ over a BFG MT? 40k miles isn't bad; if it's an all around better tire or at least better in the mud than a bfg, then I will probably save up...

    Super Swamper TSL SSR

OK, soon I'll be buying new tires for my project CJ, and I had planned on getting BFG MT's which is what I've run in the past, but have been tossing around the idea of a radial swamper. For those who have run the Radial SSR Super Swamper, how do you like them? How long have they lasted you on...

    T176 5 speed ?

The LT1 is going to put out alot more power than the T176 is rated for...I agree that a Chevy transmission would be your best bet.
