    Catalytic converter question

I would also say that it is not the cat. I had a fuel pump going bad that acted just like a cat. I would check everything else 1st. Then take the cat off and see if it is plugged. If you have no other option take a pipe and make a hole all the way through. Then when you get some more money...

    Leaking power steering fluid.

what is leaking? Pump, lines, or box. The lines are not very expensive. like $20 for the high pressure. The rebuild kit for the box (if it is a saganaw like the CJ) is pretty close to $40. New pump is like $60. Most of the prices are for CJ stuff but I wouldn't think much is different in them.

    Seat Belt Help

I would spray it with some lubricant. Then snap it in and out a bunch of times. If it holds then yank on it really hard to see if it will hold. It probably has a bunch of gunk in it from all those years of dusty trails.

    air intake routing

I am not sure it would be a good Idea if you drive with your top up. You will be restricting the air flow and also get fuel vapers in the cab. If you always drive top down you may be OK.

    Jeepz For Life

CJ spring bushings That is so true outofstep. I have owned 25 vehicles in my 27 years of life. My cj is my 1st Jeep, and I am sure it will not be my last. I just don't think I could do without a jeep now that I have owned one. Most of those 25 vehicles were trying to find a vehicle to fit...

    CJ spring bushings

Moving, have misc TJ exterior parts I replaced my front springs with some lift springs someone took off his CJ. I also bought some new bushings for them. The question is are there supposed to be sleaves in the bushings? I did not have them on the old ones on the front but I did on the back...

    u-bolt yoke conversion

I drilled out the yolk in my CJ. You just have to take the straps in to match them up. The straps for my cj were bigger than the U bolts that they used so I matched up some I think they were for a full sized truck. I don't think you can do that on the front axle though when I looked at it...

    will 32''s rub?

I have a 2 1/2" suspension lift and my 32's rub under articulation if the tire is turned slightly. If you just have a 1" body They will rub off road and probably pulling into the grocery store parking lot too. It also depends on the tire manufacture. Some 32's are actually 31's. You could...

    CJ power brakes

I took mine off of the intake. There was a plug that I took off and put a fitting in, but I have the 258. You should have one somewhere on there. I would think it would be made so people could hook up their power brakes.

    CJ power brakes

Hopefully these photos will help. The first shows the arm on the bracket that the booster rod and pedel rod hook to. One rod hooks right below the other, that is why the rod on the booster is not very long. this photo is an overall look at the bracket, and booster. This picture shows how I...

    CJ power brakes

You need to have the CJ bracket. The booster hooks on the bracket then the brake rod goes from the bracket to the pedel. The brackets are usually pretty pricey. The fittings on the master of the 81-86 are switched front to back. you just have to streach the coils. The rear line on the new...

    CJ power brakes

I got one for my year (80). As long as you are in the later years (76-86) I think they would be compatable but I would check. A guy in my club also bolted a Chev booster to the firewall, but he said he had to fab a bunch of stuff to get it to work. The rod goes between the bracket and the...

    CJ power brakes

If you have the CJ bracket just go pick up a booster/master cylinder and you may need an adjustable brake lever form tri county gear http://www.tricountygear.com . The new master will have the brake lines opposite but one is small and one is large so you just hook them in there perspective...
