33" tires on a 2in lift

It's been done, however, if you plan on taking it offroad with 2", forget it. I'd say if you wanted a 2" lift go with 32" tires. Really, not much of a difference than the 33" but will give you some more room. I'd say that goes for both a 2" lift and a 3" with the body lift added in...

It depends what YOU want to do with your Jeep!

Not jeep related....

I don't know if there's much of a height difference between a TJ and a YJ but if it's the same as my YJ, they'll rub. Even with my lift which is close to 3", 32's will rub over every bump on the street. I wouldn't go with anything less than 4" lift for 33's but then again, your TJ might be different than my YJ. Also the height of your lift will depend on how much weight you have sitting on your bumpers like winches, tire carriers ect.

They'll fit on a TJ, but it'd be ideal with a 1" BL so you could venture offroad without tearing up those nice painted fender flares.

Craig, you can usually fit a tire 2" taller on a TJ than you could a YJ with the same amount of lift.

im having trouble wit my automatic transmission help

im running 31's on a stock suspension, and i have no rubbing on my yj. i dont know how you can get rubbing from 32's on a 3 inch lift.....

Could have something to do with your TJ fender flares. I just bought my tires and tried a set of 32's before my 31's. They'd fit but it would be real tight near the bottom (ends) of the flares. There was plenty of room at the top of the flare.

thank god for that clearance. before i did the swap, i was rubbing the stock flares just from driving on sandy paths. now that i have tj trim, i can flex and still not touch. I didnt think we were talking about flare-rub on this though, i was thinking more wheel-well rub, because i didnt do any sawzol work on my body like most how-to sites recommend.

I have 33's with a 4" skyjacker lift and 1/2 shackle lift and I had some real bad rubbing on the rear tires. I have since added TJ flares but have yet to test the modification off road.

Here is a pic of how much rubbing is on the front, but the rear is worse.
